KABUL – A top militant leader who was in charge of ISIS activities innorthern Afghanistan and Central Asia was killed in an operation of theAfghan Special Forces in northern Baghlan province, Khaama Press hasreported.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the top militant leaderidentified as Mufti Uzbek was killed in an operation of the Afghan NationalPolice Special Forces in Dahana-e-Ghori of Baghlan province on Friday night.
The statement further added that Mufti Uzbek was in charge of ISISactivities in northern parts of Afghanistan and was mainly involved inplanning and organizing terrorist attacks.
According to MoI, Mufi Uzbek was also in charge of equipping and financingthe terror group Central Asia.

At least three other ISIS militants were also killed during the sameoperation and some weapons and other military kits were confiscated, theMinistry of Interior added.
