*RAWALPINDI: A delegation of students of Cornell University, the UnitedStates, on Saturday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General QamarJaved Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.*
On this occasion, the army chief shed light on Pakistan’s experiences inthe journey towards peace. He lauded youth’s role in development of thecountry.
“Youth are playing their full role in development. We have got numerousachievements through bravery of youth against terrorism,” he said.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said youth of Pakistan were talented andcommitted. He said young people were the leadership of the future. “Theyhave a crucial role to play in every sector.”
The American students said Pakistan was a beautiful and peaceful countryand they were taking back with them pleasant memories with them.
“We will portray real picture of Pakistan in the US,” they said.

The students visited Lahore, Hunza, Islamabad and the Parliament House.
On April 5, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation ZalmayKhalilzad had called on the COAS, the Inter-Services Public Relations(ISPR) had said.
The ISPR had said in a statement that Zalmay Khalilzad visited the GeneralHeadquarters (GHQ) and held an important meeting with the Army Chief.
