ISLAMABAD – Minister for Information Technology and TelecommunicationKhalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that government is committed to extendbroadband penetration to far flung areas as it is the informationtechnology era.
Addressing a broadband contract signing ceremony at Islamabad on Wednesday,he said the ministry has achieved another significant connectivitymilestone today by signing this contract worth 192 million rupees.
The Minister said with such projects, Ministry of Information Technologyand Universal Service Fund would continue to work towards achieving themission of broadband penetration to facilitate the people in rural areas.
