The Pakistan government has approached Indian officials about this matteron a number of times, but New Delhi has not been sufficiently cooperativeabout this matter.

The official who talked to the newspaper said that only the spying caseagainst Jadhav has been concluded, out of the multiple cases against him.

Pakistan security forces arrested Kulbhushan Jadhav from Balochistan onMarch 3 last year after he reportedly entered the province from Iran. However, India maintains that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he hadbusiness interests after retiring from the Indian Navy.

Jadhav’s sentencing had evoked a sharp reaction in India. After Indiaapproached the International Court of Justice (ICJ), a 10-member bench onMay 18 restrained Pakistan from executing Jadhav till adjudication of thecase.

The ICJ has asked Pakistan to submit its response or memorial by December13 before the court could start further proceedings in the case.
