Pakistan Navy warships fleet to arrive at Iranian Port

TEHRAN – In line with Pakistan’s maritime tradition and to bolster theexisting warm and cordial bilateral ties, a Pakistan Navy Flotillacomprising four Navy Ships will dock at Iran’s Persian Gulf port city ofBandar Abbas, from 6 – 9 January.

PNS KHAIBAR, PNS MADADGAR, PNS RAH NAWARD and PMSS ZHOB will be commandedby Commodore Muhammad Saleem Sl(M), Commander of 9th Auxiliary WarfareSquadron, Pakistan Embassy in Tehran wrote in a press release a copy ofwhich was obtained by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.

The visit aims at enhancing maritime collaboration between the navies ofthe two countries, according to the press release.

The ships are bringing warm wishes and a message of solidarity, peace andprosperity for the people of Iran and the region, it said.

‘The port call of Pakistan Navy ships to Islamic Republic of Iran is aregular feature,’ it added.

‘Last year, two Pakistani ships PNS RAH NAWARD and PNS DEHSHAT visitedBander Abbas. During the visit, PN delegation will hold meetings with navaland military leadership of Iran on bilateral relations.’

‘The visit of the Pakistan Navy ships to Bandar Abbas enables both naviesto enrich themselves from mutual experiences and enhance cooperation infuture endeavors,’ it further said, noting that the port call by Pakistaniships is a testimony of growing security and defense relationship betweenIran and Pakistan.

A dinner reception will reportedly be hosted by Commodore Muhammad Saleemon the board PNS KHAIBER for military attaches, diplomats, Iranian militaryand civil officials, media people and Iranian community members. – APP/IRNA
