KARACHI – Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua has said that the US policy onSouth Asia and National Security is not encouraging for Pakistan.
Addressing a seminar on ‘Pakistan Foreign Policy Issues’ in KarachiInstitute of Business Administration on Saturday, she was of the view thatAmerica wants to assign a security role to India, which is matter ofconcern for Pakistan.
“India is directly carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan. America,the NATO and the Afghan government do not control a major part ofAfghanistan,” she said.
Janjua said that the US is a super power and it is like a neighbor in theregion. She urged the US to adopt serious attitude towards Pakistan.“America is changing Asia-Pacific region into Indo-Pacific region. We havetalked to Japan about the Indo-Pacific region,” she added.
She said that there is no Haqqani network in Pakistan.
