The spokesperson of Power Division in a statement said that 12400 megawatt electricity is available in the system which is sufficient to meet the current demand.
The spokesperson said that ground teams of National Transmission and Distribution Company are patrolling the high transmission lines to avoid tripping due to smog.
Meanwhile, the Spokesperson of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Shahid Riaz Khan has clarified that the smog does not affect the atomic power plants.
In a statement, he said Chashma -1 is operating at its full capacity and contributing 300 megawatt of electricity to the system. Chasma-II and III tripped due to increase in power demand. He said both the plants will be operational by tomorrow.
The spokesperson said that Chashma-4 is shut for some necessary repair and will soon become operational.
