Imran Khan threatens long march towards Islamabad

OBARO – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has on Sunday threatened a march on Islamabad if an ‘NRO’ is done with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). He told the workers to socially boycott the corrupt people, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a public meeting in Obaro, Imran Khan said that the people of Sindh had now woken up. “I have come here to ask you for a promise that you wouldn’t vote those who don’t have their businesses in Pakistan”, he said.

Imran said that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Asif Ali Zardari were ‘godfathers’ of corruption. He said that Nawaz Sharif had 300 billion rupees stashed in foreign countries while Zardari had properties in Dubai, Paris, London and New York. “Asif Zardari has a hotel in London while the people of Sindh are living behind the even the rest of Pakistan”, he said.

He said that the Sharif family didn’t even like medical treatment in Pakistan as they have everything stashed abroad. “I worked for 20 years outside Pakistan but don’t have any bank account, flat or house abroad”, he said.

The PTI chief said that Japan had been completely ruined in the 2nd World War but it was back on its feet within 10 years because people would start social boycott of the corrupt people in Japan. He said that ministers found involved in corruption committed suicide in Japan while such people were given respect here in Pakistan.

“Sindh’s blood was sucked by these thieves. You must start social boycott of these corrupt people. Zardari is so scared of death that he doesn’t even come out of his house. Education, health and security systems have been completely destroyed in Sindh. What does the prime minister want to prove? Does he want to give a message that if someone would do corruption, he’d get a protocol of 40 cars”, said Imran.

Imran Khan said that China sacked 313 ministers in 3 years over corruption because a country cannot prosper without curbing corruption. He said that no one was going to get an ‘NRO’ this time. He threatened to march on Islamabad along with the public if an NRO was done. “The nation will not tolerate another NRO”, he said.
