ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said Pakistan wouldcontinue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to thepeople of Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
He called upon the international community to take immediate notice of thehuman rights violations in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and playits effective role in resolving the issue of Kashmir in line with theaspirations of Kashmiri people and the United Nations resolutions.
The prime minister expressed these views during a meeting with Azad Jammuand Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan, who called on him here atthe PM Office and congratulated him on the assumption of office.During the meeting, overall situation in AJK as well as the mattersrelating to law and order and socio-economic development were discussed.The AJK president briefed the prime minister about the barbarism, stateterrorism and human rights violations being perpetrated by India on thepeople of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.President Masood Khan also apprised the prime minister of the AJKgovernment’s continued efforts towards the political and diplomaticawareness of international community in that respect.
The prime minster strongly condemned the Indian atrocities, barbarism andhuman rights violations in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
