QUETTA: The coal mine collapse in Balochistan death toll has crossed 16while several others were injured.
The coal mine collapsed in Margate area of Quetta on Saturday.
The rescue teams and security officials rushed to the area, whileoperations are underway to recover the trapped miners.
The rescue officials said that the trapped miners will be evacuated as soonas the airway is cleared. However, there was “very low probability of theirsurvival.”
Quetta Police Commissioner Javed Anwar Shahwani said that 23 individualswere working in the mine when the incident happened.
However, according to Chief Inspector Maiz Iftikhar Ahmed, there were atotal of 30 miners, of which 16 were pronounced dead.
