A paramilitary solider was killed and another wounded in a rebel attack inIndian-administered Kashmir’slinkmaincity, while four labourers were injured in two separate attacks elsewherein the disputed region, police said on Monday.
Two militants on a motorbike opened fire at paramilitary soldierspatrolling in the main business center of SrinagarlinkonMonday, Indianlinkpolicesaid. The injured soldiers were taken to a hospital, where one was declareddead.
Police and soldiers cordoned off the area and launched a search for themilitants.
Attackers also fired on Monday at two Indian workers in southern Pulwamadistrict, leaving them injured, police said. Hours earlier, two labourerswere injured late on Sunday in a gunfire attack in Pulwama.
