RAWALPINDI – Corps investiture ceremony of Rawalpindi Corps was held onFriday.
Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar was chief gueston the occasion.
Awards of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) andTamgha-i-Basalat were conferred on army officers and soldiers.
Two officers and 24 Junior Commissioned Officers and soldiers including 21shuhada were awarded Tamgha-i-Basalat. Next of kins of shuhada receivedtheir awards posthumously. Sixty three officers were awardedSitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 85 officers Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) forrendering meritorious services to the nation.
