Pakistan government takes action against Hafiz Saeed charity FIF

ISLAMABAD – The government of Pakistan has added Hafiz Saeed’sJama’at-ud-Da’wah and its charity wing Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation into itslist of proscribed organisationslink.

The National Counter Terrorism Authority has updated the list, labeling theJuD and its charity wing as proscribed organisations.

The list was updated after the Ministry of Interior issued a notification.

The move came a few hours after the officials from the ministry announcedthat 44 members of banned outfits, including the brother and son ofJaish-e-Mohammad leader Masood Azhar, have been taken into “preventivecustody for investigation”.
