BEIJING:In China, the first session of the 13th National People’s Congress opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Monday.
Delivering a government work report at the opening session, Premier Li Keqiang said China will keep on making its economy more innovative and competitive.
He said endeavors will be made to make new breakthroughs in reform this year.
A draft amendment to China’s Constitution is scheduled to be submitted to the national legislature for deliberation today, which is expected to enshrine President Xi Jinping’s thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in the fundamental law.APP/AFP
