KABUL – A series of airstrikes were carried out on ISIS Khurasan (ISIS-K)hideouts in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, leaving at least sixmembers of the group dead.
The 201s Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East in a statement saidin the airstrikes were carried out Wazir Tangi area of Khogyani district bycoalition forces.
The statement further added that the airstrikes left at least six ISISmilitants dead, including a commander of the group identified as Sher Alam.
The security forces and local residents did not suffer casualties duringthe airstrikes, the 201st Silab Corps added.
The anti-government armed militant groups including ISIS loyalists have notcommented regarding the airstrikes so far.
