*ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has said that thecountry cannot progress without waging a jihad against corruption.*
“Only one thing has ruled the country after Liaquat Ali Khan and it iscorruption, corruption and corruption,” the CJP said, speaking to lawyersof High Court Bar in Multan.
The top judge said that corruption has destroyed the country, adding thatthey will have to first focus on self-accountability.
He said that no dams were made in the country in the last 40 years and whenhe called for the construction of dams he faced opposition from certainquarters.
On July 6, the CJP had created a fund for the construction of Diamer Bhashadam.
