ISLAMABAD – Pakistan broke another record, during the ongoing 2019International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup, against England at TrentBridge in Nottingham.
The Men in Green scored 348-8 in their allotted 50 overs, which is thehighest total by a team without an individual century in a World Cup match.
All-rounder Mohammad Hafeez top-scored with a brilliant knock of 84 in 62balls, while top-order batsman Babar Azam (64) and wicketkeeper-batsmanSarfaraz Ahmed (55) also registered fifties to help Pakistan muster amammoth total.
This record was previously held by South Africa, which they registeredduring the 2015 ICC World Cup against United Arab Emirates (UAE) inWellington by scoring 341 for 6.
