*ISLAMABAD – Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Razacalled on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday.*
According to a press release, professional matters of armed forces ofPakistan were discussed during the meeting.
Prime Minister Imran Khan held a telephone conversation with Prime MinisterAbiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia.
In the context of Pakistan’s ‘Engage Africa’ policy, the prime ministeremphasized the importance of closer bilateral ties with Ethiopia. The primeminister also reiterated his felicitations to Prime Minister Abiy onwinning the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.
The prime minister conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the government andpeople of Ethiopia, and commended their effective measures to control thespread of COVID-19.
The discussion focused on debt relief matters, including Prime MinisterImran Khan’s ‘Global Initiative for Debt Relief’ for developing countriesin the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
