LONDON: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday addressed the British think tank Royal United Services Institute in Westminster, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
The army chief talked about the geopolitical environment, security challenges and the role of Pakistan and army in establishing peace and stability.
He said that Pakistan is positively engaged to bring about peace in the region including Afghanistan, according to the ISPR.
Gen Bajwa also highlighted the potential of the China-Economic Economic Corridor (CPEC) to promote the economic development of the region.
The forum appreciated candid conversation by Gen Bajwa and acknowledged Pakistan army’s contributions towards establishing peace and stability, said the ISPR statement.
