ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders has said the decision of thegovernment to simplify the procedure of doing business in Pakistan is alaudable move and an important step in the right direction.
A statement issued in Islamabad said that to ease doing business is thecountry is a great step towards ending dependence on loans and ensuringself-reliance.
It said currently, Pakistan stands at 136th position among 190 economiesranked by the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index while thegovernment wants the country to be included in top fifty economies.

Shahid Rasheed Butt a senior member of the chamber said that ease ofbusiness would require the bureaucracy to change its mindset, reduce redtape-ism, discouraging corruption, simplification of tax and other laws,and easing visa regime.
