Malik Riaz allowed to leave Pakistan after name silently removed from ECL: Sources

*ISLAMABAD – The sources revealed that the name of Property tycoon MalikRiaz has been removed from exit control list (ECL) and allowed to leave thecountry.*

It is pertinent to mention here that the name of Malik Riaz was put on theECL in light of a report by the joint investigation team (JIT) probing themoney laundering case has reportedly left country.

According to the reports, the business tycoon was given a “one-time specialpermission” to leave the country.

To a question about why Bahria Town CEO left the country, Minister of Statefor Interior Shehryar Afridi ignored to explain the reason and said thatthe person whose name placed on ECL can leave the country one-time specialpermission as per the law and constitution.

He further said that after fulfilling all the regulations of law, MalikRiaz was allowed to leave the country. He said while talking to thejournalists in Islamabad.

It was earlier reported that Riaz’s name has been placed on the no-fly listand he will not be allowed to leave the country until his name is clearedin numerous corruption cases.
