LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced verdict in the petitionof demolition of Governor House walls.
LHC has ordered to stop the demolition Punjab Governor House walls.
The court was hearing a petition to stop the demolition of the boundarywalls of Punjab Governor House filed by Khawaja Mohsin Abbas. The LHC hassummoned replies from the federal and Punjab governments in this regard.
The petition states that the Punjab Governor House is a historic buildingand under the Supreme Court’s order, no historic building can be damaged.
It further stated that the order of the prime minister will wastetaxpayer’s money. The petition also seeks to make the federal and Punjabgovernments parities in the case.
