ISLAMABAD – Martyred Moulana Samiul Huq son Maulana Hamidul Haq told themedia that his father was receiving threats from the Afghan officials.
Reportedly Moulana Sami ul Huq was under pressure from Afghanistanauthorities over issue of Afghan Taliban.
While briefing media about the incident of his martyrdom he said that hisfather was resting at his residence while his driver, who was also hissecurity guard, was not present when the assailant scaled the wall toattack him with knife.
“His driver Haqqani had gone out. On his return, he found Maulana Sahiblying in a pool of blood in his bed,” he told news channels.
The assailant stabbed him several times in the chest and the head beforefleeing the scene unidentified and unchallenged. The Maulana was rushed tohospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
JUI-S spokesperson Maulana Ahmed Shah has confirmed the death of MaulanaSamiul Haq in the attack which took place in the jurisdiction of Airportpolice station.
Maulana Hamidul Haq revealed that his father was receiving threats from theAfghan government.
