US Air Force test launched Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

WASHINGTON – United States Air Force test launched IntercontinentalBallistic Missile days after the North Korean missile launch.

As per the media report, US Air Force tested an unarmed Minuteman IIIintercontinental ballistic missile equipped with re-entry vehicle from abase in California across the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday at 1:13 am.

The missile was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, northwest of LosAngeles and sent a test re-entry vehicle on a 4,200-mile flight over thePacific Ocean to the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

The launch came a day after North Korea test-fired a new submarine-launchedballistic missile (SLBM) from sea, which was confirmed by South Koreanofficials that the missile was launched from the coast of Wonsan, east ofthe North Korean capital of Pyongyang.
