*LAHORE – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar ordered ChiefMinister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif to appear in the 56 companies corruptioncase before the court.*
CJP stated that Shehbaz Sharif should present himself to give explanationin the case. On which, the Advocate General Punjab responded that formerchief minister had no direct role in these companies.
“Ask from your former chief minister that where is he? And when will heappear before the court?” CJP remarked.
Moreover, the apex court directed the National Accountability Court (NAB)to estimate the properties of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of sixcompanies out of 56 alleged companies.
While referring the case of hiring doctors on excessive salaries atPakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute, CJP retorted “Shehbazsharif needs to elucidate on the matter of appointing government officerson high salaries.”
NAB lahore has also summoned Shahbaz Sharif for questioning in connectionwith a probe into alleged financial wrongdoings in the Saaf Pani Compan
