BEIJING – Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited Asian InfrastructureInvestment Bank (AIIB) to explore projects in power generation,transmission, transport, and water supply sectors.
Talking to AIIB President Jin Liqun in Beijing on Friday, he underscoredthat several cooperation opportunities existed in these areas.
The Prime Minister said his government has prioritized economic revival andstructural reforms and is also making all-out efforts for povertyalleviation.
He said, being a founding member of the AIIB, Pakistan fully supportsBank’s mission. The AIIB had achieved good results in a very short span oftime since its establishment in 2016 and was financing projects inPakistan. Pakistan looks forward to strengthening its cooperation with theAIIB.
