ISLAMABAD – RAW Agent Kulbhushan Jhadav meeting with Indian consular,Inside details of the meeting arrangements and Indian reaction after themeeting has been revealed.
Islamabad on Monday said that Kulbhushan Jadhav’s meet with the Indianenvoy was recorded to ensure transparency and in line with standardoperating procedures. The Pakistan Office of the Spokesperson, in astatement, said that some Pakistani officials were also present duringKulbhushan Jadhav’s meeting with the Indian envoy.
The consular access was provided at 12 noon and it lasted for two hours,”in the presence of officials of Government of Pakistan”. “In order toensure transparency and in line with standard operating procedures, and asconveyed to the Indian side in advance, the access was recorded,” astatement from Pakistan stated.
Pakistan also said that on the request of India, “there was no restrictionon the language of communication”.
“As a responsible member of the international community and in line withour international commitments, Pakistan has provided un-impeded,uninterrupted consular access to India to Commander Jadhav,” the statementread.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) also issued a statement after theIndian envoy met Kulbhushan Jadhav at a sub-jail for an hour after Pakistangranted consular access to the Indian death-row convict “in line with theICJ judgment”.
The MEA spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar said Kulbhushan Jadhav appeared to beunder “extreme pressure” to parrot a false Pakistani narrative in his case.
MEA said that while a comprehensive report is still awaited, it was “clearthat he appeared to be under extreme pressure to parrot a false narrativeto bolster Pakistan’s untenable claims”.
“We will decide a further course of action after receiving a detailedreport from our Cd’A and determining the extent of conformity to theInternational Court of Justice (ICJ) directives,” MEA spokesperson RaveeshKumar said.
