National Saving certificates profit rates increased

The Finance Ministry on Thursday notified meager increase in profitrates on national saving certificates.

As per the notification, the profit margin on regular income certificateshas been increased from 12 percent to 12.36 percent.

The profit margin on saving certificates has been increased from 10.75percent to 12.25 percent.

However, the 12.40 percent profit on the defence saving certificatesremained unchanged.

The profit margin on the pensioners, martyrs, and welfare certificates havealso not been changed which stayed at 14.16 percent.

The finance ministry has notified the nominal increase on long-term nationalsaving certificateslink.

Earlier, the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) on Mondayincreased profit rates link on allnational savings schemes amid higher policy rate of the central bank’s andrecent surge in cut-off yields of secondary market coupons.
