KABUL – At the head of a high-level delegation, Pakistan’s ForeignSecretary Tahmina Janjua arrived in Kabul on Monday for talks with Afghanofficials.
Janjua arrived here early in the morning and went straight into talks withPresident Ashraf Ghani and other Afghan officials on various issues, thePakistan embassy said.
A credible government official, meanwhile, told Pajhwok Afghan News theforeign secretary discussed with her interlocutors Prime Minister ShahidKhaqan Abbasi’s upcoming visit to Kabul.
The Pakistani premier is scheduled to visit Kabul on Friday in response toa formal invitation from President Ashraf Ghani.
Political analysts see Abbasi’s maiden trip to Afghanistan as highlyimportant. The Afghan-led peace process will be thoroughly and franklydiscussed.
