LAHORE:Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on Thursday said that he had always been against corruption and the PML-N government had always served the people transparently.
He was responding to the questions of media persons here during a press conference.
Shehbaz Sharif maintained if fourth gas power project be included then Rs. 150 billion had been saved in these projects.
He said that out of these four projects, two projects were under the supervision of Rashid Langriyal and two were looked after by Ahad Cheema. He further stated that bidding of Ashiyana was transparent.
The Chief Minister said that he had taken strict action against corruption how did he safeguard the same as he presented himself in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on baseless allegations.
Responding to another question, he said, “Such baseless allegation will destroy our image before our Chinese partner. With such allegation we are digging own grave.”
He said that he would beg pardon from the nation if PTI chief Imran Khan would bring proves regarding Multan Metro within the next 48 hours.
He said, confrontation should be avoided, however, accountability should be carried out transparently and without any discrimination.
He said that this country was not for elite but for the poor people. Action should be taken against other accounts of Panama and offshore companies which had been traced out and there were enough evidences of the same as well, he added.APP/AFP
