BISP under Chairman Dr Sania Nishtar takes revolutionary steps

ISLAMABAD – BISP will review its De-crediting and Re-crediting Policy andblock the accounts of the beneficiaries having no withdrawal activity forsix months and de-credited from the existing one-year period to make thepayment process more transparent.According to an official source, BISP under the leadership Dr SaniaNishtar, is taking solid steps for running the organization in moretransparent way with zero tolerance towards corruption.The official source said that the accounts of deceased beneficiaries anddubious Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) holders may be forcedde-credited as soon as possible.BISP is heading toward resolving the legacy issues of the organizationincluding politicization in the past, the payment process issues,weaknesses in process design with banks, Point of Sale (POS) retailerissues leading to irregularities and cases of past audit paras and FIAinquiries, the source said.Strong steps are being taken to reform the working of the organization in amore transparent way which include risk assurance and management, tightlybound work plans for the stakeholders involved, greater transparency withinorganization and development of strategic plan to set organizationaldirection with corresponding programmatic design documents, tools andmeasures, the source said.
