In Punjab, Safe Medicine Supply Authority will be established to provide quality medicines to the patients.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting in Lahore chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Officials of Turk Health Ministry were also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Chief Minister said provincial government has decided to make foolproof system of procurement, supply and distribution of medicines and a state-of-the- art medicines supply chain management system will be introduced.
Shahbaz Sharif said modern warehouses will be set up for conservation of medicines according to international standard and in the first phase, warehouses will be constructed in Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad.
