ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Office has responded over death of former USPresident George W Bush.
In a Tweet, Foreign Office spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal said, “Grieved atthe passing of President H.W. Bush, Share pain of family and Americanpeople. He was a statesman who led his country amid difficult globalchallenges. He is remembered in Pakistan for his efforts to mobilizeinternational community after 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.”
Bush is survived by his five children and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course, a family spokesmansaid. Bush is expected to lie in state in the US Capitol.
President Donald Trump, who was in Argentina attending a G20 summit ofworld leaders, hailed Bush´s “sound judgment, common sense, and unflappableleadership.”
“Through his essential authenticity, disarming wit, and unwaveringcommitment to faith, family, and country, President Bush inspiredgenerations of his fellow Americans to public service,” Trump said in astatement.
