ISLAMABAD – Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari on Wednesday hasrevealed PTI government efforts for the release of Pakistani neuroscientistDr Aafia Siddiqui.
She said the government was making utmost efforts to secure the release ofDr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist languishing in US prison.
The minister met Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, the sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqi, anddiscussed various matters pertaining to the release of the Pakistanineuroscientist.
Mazari said the incumbent government was aware of the difficulties faced bythe family of Dr Aafia, adding that efforts were underway to secure herrelease.

She assured Dr Fauzia that the government would provide every possibleassistance to the family and will work tirelessly to secure Dr AafiaSiddiqui’s release.
