ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan received a phone call from the GermanChancellor Angela Merkel.
She invitated PM Khan to visit Germany at his earliest convenience during atelephonic conversation on Monday.
The German leader had telephoned the premier to congratulate him on hiselection as the prime minister of Pakistan, according to an officialstatement.
The prime minister briefed the German chancellor on the regional situation,especially the importance of a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan andrelations with India. He underscored the need for resumption ofcomprehensive dialogue with India to address all outstanding issues.
