Addressing a press conference in Kandy, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam stated,”The Men in Green have a significant advantage over India due to the homeadvantage we enjoy in Sri Lanka, where we’ve been playing a lot of cricketrecently.”
It’s worth noting that Pakistan is well-acquainted with Sri Lankanconditions, having played cricket in the island country for more than twomonths. They had Test series against the Sri Lankan team, followed by anODI series against Afghanistan, and some players even participated in theLanka Premier League (LPL) there.
Babar emphasized, “We don’t feel pressure; instead, we have the winningmomentum, and we intend to maintain it.” He expressed that thePakistan-India match is eagerly anticipated worldwide, saying, “The wholeworld eagerly awaits this match, and we are hopeful it will be a greatone.”
The skipper also mentioned their focus on fielding the best playing XI andperforming well in this continental cricketing event. Regarding the team’sperformance, Babar mentioned, “We faced some challenges with the middleorder, but it has responded positively.”
