ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Minister expressed that the EuropeanParliament will discuss the Occupied Kashmir matter which is on theiragenda in Monday meeting and will raise the voice for Kashmiris who aregoing through worst times.
He said that occupied Kashmir has become a big jail and people in variouscountries are worried about their loved ones in the occupied land as thereis total blackout of communication network.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says Indian Prime Minister NarenderModi is demonstrating the same mindset like Hitler and Mussolini thatstarted the World War–II and brought disaster across world.
Talking to media in Karachi on Sunday, he said that occupied Kashmir issuffering from this mindset at the moment being cut off from the world foralmost a month now and people being put through the worst circumstances.
He said there is serious shortage of food and medicines and childrencannot go to school.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said India calls itself the biggest democracy but thisis the country that has gone against the democratic norms and is denyingrights to the minorities.
He said that India has also imposed sanctions on media which is not allowedto go into the occupied area to report the truth to the world.
The Foreign Minister said that Prime Minister of Pakistan has showed thetrue face of the India and has presented our point of view to the world ina better way.
Replying to a question, he said that OIC has taken a good stance about theKashmir issue and has demanded to lift the curfew in the occupied valley atonce.
Replying to another question about the role of opposition about the Kashmirissue, he thanked the opposition for backing up the government for theissue and for the resolutions passed in the parliament.
He asked the opposition to also be part of the other initiatives includingsolidarity hour to show the world that we are all united for the people ofKashmir.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also go toAmerica soon to present this issue before the UN General Assembly and weare paving our way to get support of the world for the innocent Kashmirisbeing put to brutal atrocities by India.
He said ensuring protection of lives and properties of minorities isresponsibility of the government and all Pakistanis, belonging to variousbeliefs and religions are respectable for the government.
He said work is in progress at Kartarpur Corridor and more than 80 percentwork has already been completed.
Pakistan will welcome the Sikh community on birth anniversary of Baba GuruNanak.
