LONDON – Prime Minister Theresa May assassination plot main accused wassentenced to life in prison by a British Court.
He had planned to kill PM May by first detonating an explosive device toget into her Downing Street office and then using a knife or a gun toattack her.
Naa’imur Rahman, 21, of north London, planned to detonate an improvisedexplosive device at the heavily guarded gates of Downing Street and gainaccess to May’s office in the ensuing chaos and assassinate her, accordingto police.
He was convicted last month of preparing to commit acts of terrorism and atLondon’s Old Bailey court on Friday was given a life prison and will serve30 years behind bars.
