*ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan summoned Indian Deputy HighCommissioner Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia for a consecutive third time overconsistent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) by Indiantroops. *
A statement issued by FO on Thursday read that Spokesperson Dr. MohammadFaisal summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia,again today and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indianoccupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on 30th July 2019.
“In addition to one martyrdom and 9 victims of injuries conveyed to theHigh Commission of the Republic of India earlier on 31 July 2019, inNauseri Sector along LoC, one more innocent civilian lady, Bisma daughterof Ghulam Murtaza was martyred while 6 other civilians, including women andchildren, sustained serious injuries. Resultantly, two innocent civilianshave been martyred and fifteen civilians have sustained serious injuries on30 July 2019.”
The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and Working Boundary havecontinuously been targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire,heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, which still continues, the FOsaid.
“The deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas is indeed deplorableand contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarianlaws. The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace andsecurity and may lead to a strategic miscalculation,” the statement furtherread.
