ISLAMABAD – Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore GeneralHospital (LGH) Principal Professor Dr Sardar Mohammad Alfareed ZafarWednesday said the Punjab government has won the hearts of all the doctorsby increasing their allowances manifold which will be paid to them in theirsalaries of July to be paid on 1st of August.
“Now it is the duty of the doctor’s community to act upon the health visionof the present government by extending best possible services to thepatients,” he said in a statement.
As per notification, increase in basic teaching allowance has been made andfor BS-17 doctors from Rs 1000 to Rs 22778. For BS-18 doctors, thisincrease will be from Rs 1000 to Rs 28763, BS-19 doctors from Rs 1000 to Rs29605 and BS-20 from Rs 1000 to Rs 34545.
Likewise, non-practicing allowance (NPA) has also been increased for BS-17doctors from Rs 4000 to Rs 22778, BS-18 from Rs 4000 to Rs 28763, BS-19from Rs 6000 to Rs 29605 and BS-20 doctors from Rs 6000 to Rs 34545.
Health Professional Allowance (HPA) has also been enhanced for BS-18doctors from Rs 19175 to Rs 28763, BS-19 from Rs 19100 to Rs 29605 andBS-20 doctors from Rs 19192 to Rs 34545. Professor Alfareed Zafarcongratulated all the doctors for the special incentives and expressed thehope that it would enhance their performance.
