RAWALPINDI – Scores of terrorists were killed and injured when a group of60-70 terrorists from across the border from bases in Afghanistan attackedtroops undertaking fencing effort along Pak-Afghan Border, in Alwara, NorthWazirstan.
The attack effectively responded and repulsed by troops in area, said apress release issued here by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) onWednesday.
In exchange of fire three soldiers Lance Naik Ali, Lance Naik Nazeer andSepoy Imdad Ullah embraced Shahadat (martyrdom), while several soldiers gotinjured.
While Pakistan security forces are solidifying border security throughfencing and construction of forts to deny liberty of action to theterrorists, Afghan Security Forces and the authorities need to have moreeffective control in border region to support Pakistan’s efforts as well asdeny use of Afghan soil against Pakistan.
Pakistan’s fencing effort shall continue despite all such impediments, theISPR press release added.
