MOSCOW – Russia says it is closely cooperating with Pakistan in the fightagainst terrorism and advancing the peace process in Afghanistan.
Speaking at weekly press briefing in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry’sSpokesperson Maria Zhakharova said both the countries share common concernson Daesh militants’ gaining momentum and their expansion onAfghanistan-Tajikistan border.
To a question, she strongly rebutted reported remarks by Russian DeputyMinister of Internal Affairs, Igor Zubov regarding alleged movement ofDaesh terrorists by helicopters from Pakistan to Tajikistan border, termingit a “slip of tongue”.
