Pakistan PM Imran Khan seek 50 billion investment for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan PM Imran Khan seek $50 billion investment for Pakistanduring the next decade with his successful visit of China and the start ofthe CPEC phase two.

Former Chairman All Pakistan Shipping Association Asim Azim Siddiqui hassaid that a $ 50 billion investment from the Prime Minister’s visit toChina is likely to be restored. He has said that the construction willbegin on Gwadarport from China

Investment from China in the Gwadar Free Zone will also start, he added,adding that now new industries will be established and when the industrystarts, other related industries will be established which will give peoplemore employment and the government will also start gaining revenue.

The former chairman said that because of the steps taken by the government,it was felt that the CPEC project would be completed quickly and theeconomy would improve. He said that an ordinance has been issued by thePresident of Pakistan in this regard.

Import goods consignments have been given full exemption of duty as it hasbeen given the Export Processing Zone status and now we expect that fastexport companies will come to invest in Gwadar and employ new industries inthe country.

He said the Balochistan government was concerned that locals would not beprovided jobs in Gwadar, but China has clearly stated that more jobs willbe provided to locals in the industries established in Gwadar. Thesituation of the locals will improve and the economic situation ofBalochistan will improve in a short time.
