ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan gives a stern warning toJUI – F leadera and workers who intend to break law in Azadi March.PrimeMinister (PM) Imran Khan on Tuesday made it overtly clear that he neitherfears any sit-in nor fear any march.
While presiding over a huddle of Federal Cabinet, the premier warned thatany violation of agreement [signed between government’s negotiatingcommittee and opposition’s Rahber Committee] would lead to stern legalaction.
“If an agreement has been inked with those carrying out Azadi March then itis a good gesture. We had also staged a sit-in for 126 days; stagingsit-ins or carrying out a march is not an easy thing. I hope that thoseparticipating in Azadi March will adhere by the agreement”, the premier wasquoted as saying in the meeting.
PM added that government’s negotiating committee is free in makingdecisions.
Briefing the attendants on current happenings, Defence Minister PervezKhattak apprised that committee was looking after JUI-F’s Azadi March ondaily basis.
“JUI-F was allowed to stage a public gathering in Islamabad under anagreement. Ostensibly, it seems that JUI-F would stage a day-long publicgathering, however, they [JUI-F] can extend its stay”, Khattak toldattendants.
