In a diplomatic victory for Pakistan, China gives a strong blow to India over Occupied Kashmir in UN Security Council closed session

NEW YORK: In a big diplomatic victory for Pakistan, China gives a strongblow to India over Occupied Kashmir in UN Security Council closed session.

China has expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating situation inIndian Occupied Kashmir at the closed session of the United NationsSecurity Council (UNSC) in New York.

China noted that in his letter to the Security Council, the foreignminister of Pakistan had called upon the Security Council to takecognizance of the recent disturbing developments across LOC whichconstitute threat to peace and security.

These include more than three thousand ceasefire violations, targeting of300 civilians including women and children, partial removal of the fence onthe LoC by India in five sectors, deployment of the Brahmos Missile andSpike Missile for use across the line of control and conduct of numerousmissile tests since August.

The Chinese side hoped the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistanto provide detailed briefing to the Council on the situation along the LoCas soon as possible.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi link hassaid that the occupied Kashmir is facing severe military siege andcommunication blockage from more than four months.

The recent aggression of the India along Line of Control (LoC) posses greatthreat to the peace and security of the region, Qureshi added.
