ISLAMABAD – US Ambassador held important meeting with Pakistani ForeignMinister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan will continueplaying its reconciliatory role for peace in Afghanistan.
Talking to US Chargé D’ Affaires in Pakistan Paul W. Jones in Islamabad onFriday, he said progress and development of the entire region directlydepend upon the peace in Afghanistan.
The Minister said Pakistan welcomes US decisions to resume talks withAfghan Peace Talks.
Views were also exchanged on situation in Afghanistan, overall securitysituation in the region, and bilateral relations between Pakistan and theUnited States.
