ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated the government’sresolve to further improve the conducive environment for business communityin order to accelerate the process of economic development.
He was chairing the meeting of government’s economic team in Islamabad onWednesday.
The Prime Minister said the country is experiencing economic stabilitytoday due to government’s efforts, with trust of investors and businesscommunity restored.
Terming overseas Pakistanis a great asset, the Prime Minister said all outsteps will be taken for their facilitation. He said the foreign remittancesreceived from overseas Pakistanis are a milestone in national economy. Hedirected to ensure that remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis arereceived by their families without any deduction.
A proposed incentive package for overseas Pakistanis regarding transfer offoreign remittances through legal channels was presented to the PrimeMinister.
It contains proposals to give special incentives to banks and exchangecompanies to promote foreign remittances.
Representatives of Pakistan Post apprised the meeting that number of postoffices for providing the service of foreign remittances will be graduallyincreased to 3200 from existing 240.
