Disgruntled Indian PM Narendra Modi refuse to surrender before public pressure

NEW DELHI – Disgruntled Indian PM Narendra Modi refuse to surrender beforepublic pressure.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his stand that his government willnot bow down to pressure and said his government stood by the decisionslike revocation of Article 370, the Citizenship Amendment Act despitepressure from all sides.

“Be it the decision taken on Article 370 or the Citizenship Amendment Act,it was necessary in the interest of the country. Despite the pressure, westand by our decision and will remain so.

The country has waited for years to get a decision on these things,” hesaid while addressing a public meeting in his Lok Sabha constituency.

PM Modi in Varanasi today launched as many as 50 development projects worthmore than Rs 1,254 crore, unveiled a statue of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya andflagged off the new Kashi-Mahakal Express.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi first visited the Jangamwadi Math here heoffered prayers and then he made his way to Padao on the Varanasi-Chandauliborder to unveil the 63-ft tall statue of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya and alsoinaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Centre.

The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath,Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Governor Anandiben Patel.
