Thank You Pakistan trends on Chinese Microblogging platform Sina Weibo

ISLAMABAD – Hashtag #ä¿„ç½—æ–¯ å·´åŸºæ–¯å ¦# (#Russia Pakistan#) hitChina’s Twitter-like micro-blogging platform Sina Weibo.

Chinese people were showing their gratitude on Weibo for their friendsamid China’s fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The newest trending topic has been discussed 61,000 times and read 250million times so far. As many Chinese netizens put it.

They are thankful to Pakistani brothers firmly support China’s efforts toprevent and control the outbreak, and are willing to provide any help toChina in fighting the epidemic, according to China Economic Net.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed”, shared 21,855 times and 14,409comments were posted.

Under the trending topic, some Chinese netizens posted their drawings tosay thanks to Pakistani friends. On the afternoon of Feb. 12, a Sina Weiboaccount nicknamed “Xifengbazhu” posted a drawing of a Pakistani goat takingoff its outer garment, and it was like, “It’s all for you, my bro!” Thecartoon picture soon got noticed and was reposted for over 6,000 times. Thehottest comment of the post said the goat was so cute and what Pakistan didfor China moved everyone to tears.

Also, an account nicknamed “MUMU” posted a drawing and the caption “Thanks,Russia & Pakistan.” It showed the animated images of China, Russia andPakistan featured by a crying panda, a composed bear, and a warm-heartedgoat respectively. The post soon resonated with Chinese internet users.

Some netizens commented that they were touched and to visit Pakistan whenthe epidemic is gone was added to their to-do lists, and others expressedtheir appreciation for Pakistan.
