ISLAMABAD – Chinese Embassy’s Agricultural Commissioner Dr Gu Wenliang hasexpressed his willingness to create a ‘green corridor’ under the secondphase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During a meeting on bilateral cooperation under CPEC, Mr. Wenliang hasemphasized on accelerating cooperation in agriculture field and to conductagricultural cooperation on an advanced level under the CPEC.
As part of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),China intends to build a green corridor in the country.
This was stated by Chinese Embassy’s Agricultural Commissioner Dr GuWenliang on Monday while speaking at a roundtable on “Sino-Pak AgricultureCooperation: Way Forward”.
The roundtable aimed to highlight and promote the ongoing China-Pakistancooperation under the second phase of CPEC, engaging with stakeholders indiscussions on how to benefit from the ongoing cooperation in theagriculture sector.
Dr Gu highlighted the need for promoting cooperation in agricultureresearch, corps variety technologies, improvement in agriculture productsand building a green corridor.
